After experiencing Pune scorching heat, Pune has seen a significant decrease in temperature in the last two days. On Wednesday, the mercury increased from 37.2 degrees to 33.7 degrees Celsius and fell to 32.8 degrees on Thursday.
Officials said the minimum or night temperature in the city was recorded at 22.3 degrees Celsius, which was at the normal level.
According to the forecast released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature is expected to fall as a fall, as rainy activities are expected till May 12.
“Rain activities are likely to be limited to the ghat section for the next 48 hours; however, on May 11 and 12, the city area is also likely to experience light rain activities, and a yellow warning has been issued for the same. The weather conditions will be cloudy in the city for the next three to four days.”
Most districts of Maharashtra are likely to experience cloud activities along with cloud season between May 9 and May 12. The northern part of Maharashtra and Vidarbha region are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall activities for the next 48 hours, so these areas were given a yellow alert for rainfall. Rain activities are likely to be subdued in Maharashtra from May 11.
Currently, an upper air cyclonic circulation is located in southwest Madhya Pradesh in the lower and mesosphere levels and in the lower troposphere levels is located on one and northwest Madhya Pradesh. An east-west trough runs from cyclonic circulation to northern Chhattisgarh in northwest troposphere levels in northwest Madhya Pradesh. Another trough runs from East-Central Sea to southwest Madhya Pradesh and low atmospheric levels to cyclonic circulation in nearby areas. Under the influence of these systems, the temperature in many areas in Maharashtra has decreased.
